Having some experience in maintaining a similar sort of translation (I 
do the en_UK translation which is very similar to the American but has a 
small but significant difference in spellings and also some accounting 
terms are different) I would say that it took me some 8 hours or so for 
the initial translation and thereafter takes maybe 30 minutes a month.
