Maybe. Maybe not. Well, for me personally (read: for the requirements in my
usage as a personal finance software): Yes, indeed.

Yes, but a very close one: Currently, I'm re-using approx. 30% of the gnucash
codebase directly in the resulting cutecash executable.

The question of a suitable reporting system is a difficult one and I don't
have any answers here yet, see wiki. However, I tend to prefer some other
scripting language over Scheme, so the gnucash report system will probably not
be re-used in cutecash. But that's still open for discussion and for people
who like to contribute some initial implementations.
