GNOME 2 port patches [18]

i think it's still got a ways to go.  It apparantly compiles and
starts, but I think a LOT of the dialogs and such still need porting.

We also need to merge from HEAD -> g2 to get the new-in-HEAD code
ported, too.  I'll try to get to that RSN.
