Stubs are a necessity. I use the same checks at home, and faithfully save
the stubs, but never use them. However, at work, business checks have one
or more stubs for listing the transactions for which this check is in
payment. We send one check for up to 10 transactions (office supplies are
typical). For this you really need the stub. Our checks have two stubs,
one for the vendor, and one for our records (we staple all the invoices
together with the stub).

This really ought to be a loadable module (scheme?), so we don't have to
recompile from source to add a different form.
