Hi folks,
I try to compile 1.6.0 on Debian woody, but I get the following error
message during ./configure:
checking for main in -lgal... no
configure: error: gal library not found. See the README for more info.
apt-cache search libgal shows the following packages, which are all
installed on my system.
libgal4 - G App Libs (run time library)
libgal-dev - GNOME Applications Library development files
libgal6 - GNOME Applications Library
libgal3 - GNOME Applications Library
When I run ldconfig -v | grep libgal, I get:
libgal.so.3 -> libgal.so.3.0.1
libgal.so.4 -> libgal.so.4.0.0
libgal.so.6 -> libgal.so.6.0.0
What am I missing?
TIA,
Viktor
