No, no, no!! Those are fine!!  I don't *think* your automake would be a
problem--if it is, it's because it's too new.

Can you also see which version of autoconf you have?  Also of interest
is which version of Gnome you have installed.  If you have Gnome 2, that
will pose a significant problem (I don't know what Mandrake 9 comes
with).  The Gnome2 port of Gnucash has not yet started.

Check to see if the AC_PROG_INTLTOOL is defined in aclocal.m4, after you
run autogen.sh.  If it's not, there may be a something about your setup
which omits/prevents that.  If so, we'd like to know about it...
