gnucash top level accts

Hello,

I was wondering what top accts in the acct tree people have? I have little
to nil accounting knowledge and would like to have a good organization for
my assets/money.

The basic ones I think of are Expenses, Income, Assets, Investments, and
Accts Receivable or Payable. I think that Investments may be a subset of
Assets and I don't really know what Accts Receivable and Payable are. I'm
basically looking for a quick primer in basic accounting knowledge --
either from someone here or pointers to a good place.
