Uh - just as I said: gut feeling. When you have checked and
double-checked all the possible causes of an error and found
nothing, the one you yet forgot is usually the one that's
screaming loudest in your face.

Apart from that, if I was Blossom I'd do an rpm -Fhv on all
even remotely relevant rpms. You never know; the fact that
the rpm database claims something to be there doesn't always
means it actually is there.
