I have a couple of questions concerning creating/maintaining 401k
accounts. I've read through the last few posts regarding the subject,
and apparently no satisfactory resolution was ever reached.

1) I'm trying to create a mutual fund account based on what's currently
in my 401K. I create the account, but when I try to add the opening
balance (current to today), the numbers get all mixed up.

Firstly, when I enter the "Opening Balance" (which is not allowed in
account creation), which account do I use for the Transfer account?=20
Every other opening balance goes to the default Equity:Opening Balances
account, but the Mutual Fund balance will, of course, vary with the
price of the fund.
Also, the numbers get messed up. There are three columns I am
populating, "Shares", and "Price", and "Buy". So, I enter 77.469 in
Shares, 39.70 in Price, and 3075.52 in Buy. GNUCash changes 77.469 to
77.47, and forces the Buy to be 3075.56. When I press Enter, GNUCash
changes Shares to 3075.56, and Price to 1, and Buy to 3075.56. Now, I
DON'T have 3075.56 shares, and the price is definitely more than 1!=20
What's happening here? How can I successfully track this information?

2) 77.469 in Shares. Mutual Funds I'm familiar with allow 3 decimal
places for fractional shares. Fractional shares are the de facto
standard in 401Ks. How can I make GNUCash not round this number? I've
changed the auto-decimal places in Settings to no avail. This forced
rounding causes the price*shares to be incorrect according to what my
401K manager is showing.

I get the same behavior with the Stock accounts. What gives?
