how to use with pgsql / how to use on Mac

Dear gnucash team.

Great product!  I'm a Quicken Convert (to-be).  And I am very excited
about gnucash.  

Question1: 

  How to switch to postgreSQL backend storage.  No mention of that in
the docs, that I could see.

Qustion2:

  Has anyone installed gnucash and made it work on Mac OS X using
Xfree86?
