Main account window at start-up

Is it possible to have all the accounts expanded when GnuCash is
started? On my system (SuSE, 9.0 KDE 3.1), it opens with only the
highest-level accounts visible. 

I don't know GNOME particularly well, and wondered if there was a
setting which would enable what I'm looking for?
