Reconciling credit card (liability) accounts

Hi Ashvin,

I think that what you are describing is the "pay credit card bill" dialog box.  
Gnucash assumes that once you have been sent a statement by your credit card 
company, (and reconciled all ok) that you will be paying (some of) that 
balance as a transfer from eg. a bank checking account.

You can turn this off in (Main window) Edit | Preferences | Reconcile | 
Automatic Credit card payments
