Errors compiling Gnucash for Mac OSX

I've resisted getting involved in this thread until now because I've done so 
little on my iBook (only had it a few weeks). Apologies if this isn't 
helpful, but I haven't got time to delve into the details.

I'm using GnuCash on MacOSX, installed via fink. It's a source download and 
then a compile so it takes a long time but it does work. I didn't manage to 
get the apt-get install to work. 

To start Gnucash, find Applications/Utilities and start X11, 
then /sw/bin/gnucash in the xterm. I've set /sw/bin in my path using bash and 
set gnucash in the X11 applications list, so it's available from the X11 
menu.

sudo fink install gnucash
