Derek,

Now that you explained (possibly for the x-th time), I have upgraded to 1.8.9 
and changed the locale to US - voila it works. This took care of 
wrong/screwed-up currency symbols as well. Amazing what the locale is able to 
affect.

The menu without text actually is "Account Summary". This was taken care of by 
the locale too.
