I can't speak to where the fonts actually come from, all I know about is
package names. On my FC3 system, GnuCash mostly works, except that I
have found that reports and checks have a much larger font than before
which has caused me to have to rework my custom check printing format,
etc. But there are no packages on my system with 'xfree86' (case
insensitive) in the name, but there are "fonts-xorg-75dpi" and
"fonts-xorg-base". When I use the term "xorg fonts" vs. "xfree86 fonts",
that's what I mean.
