Recording dividends

Hi,

I have reviewed the gnucash documentation, and I have googled for info
on how to "fix" this - I must not be getting it right.

Every time I try to import a qif file dividend transaction (which I
have many, many, to do), the software tries to make a root account
"Dividends"  How can I tailor my qif file in order to put this
transaction in an "Income" subaccount?  The "L" tag doesn't seem to do
the trick - i have tried that too.
