Gnucash has no glibc-2.4 requirement.  If Mandrake's packaging indicates
that gnucash-1.9.4 requires glibc-2.4, it's either incorrect or
reflecting some other constraint.

If you meant glib-2.4, then no... and we're only supporting glib-2.4 in
order to support RHEL4 (FC3) at warlord's request; every other distro we
care about has a sufficiently-aged release with an glib > 2.4.
