Importing OFX/QFX files not working

OFX import is broken in the version shipped with SuSE 9.3. It has not
been fixed in SuSE 10. It has nothing to do with the processing of the
OFX files, but instead the hand-off of the data back to the OFX dialog.
I believe that SuSE is using an out-of-date link to the OFX library.
Unfortunately, there is no source rpm offered, so I can't compare it to
the original code tree. I found two viable options:

Install the Gnucash RPM package from SuSE 9.1 - If you go this route,
there were one or two dependencies that need to be loaded from the 9.1
as well. Before de-installing the version that shipped with SuSE, check
the dependencies. Keep the libofx from SuSE 9.3 as it works flawlessly.

Download a recent compilation of 1.8.12 - This is what I eventually
ended up with, however it was a difficult task of locating and compiling
various tarballs and source rpms to meet the dependencies. I didn't
document the steps necessary, otherwise I would offer them. At some
point I hope get around to setting up a SuSE development environment to
produce a set of RPMs to reliably load for recent SuSE versions.
