Gnucash 2.0 and SuSE 10

Hi

I installed GnuCash 2.0 from source but when I try to run it I get the
following error:

> gnucash
ERROR: Unbound variable: with-load-pathname

is that workaround published in

https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2005-September/013735.html

still the only way? I am a little reluctant to modify these files.
