Thanks for your reply, Chris, which has just crossed with a post from 
Josh Sled and my reply to it. Josh also said, in effect, that there 
should be no help/c directory and I then asked about deleting that 
directory, which is empty, and then renaming help/c, which has fourteen 
items in it, help/C.
