You are referring to bug 520606, which affected memos only (QIF "M" line).
There haven't been any problems reported with payees (however, your bank may
putting them in the memo line.) In any case, this was fixed in 2.2.5.  I
have just tested with 2.2.6 and payees and memos both seem to be mapping
correctly.

Could you provide a sample file that reproduces the problem? If I can
reproduce it, I can fix it.
