Some ideas concerning budgeting

Hi, i just tried gnucash out and i really liked it, but i have some ideas for improvement. They may have been mentioned before however.

- when importing bank statements, a 'smart' auto-detect for the transfer account.

- View monthly averages for income and expenses
- The estimate function (in the budget view) should be able to estimate based on periodic averages. ( for example: If you spend 400 in a year, estimate should be 400/12)
- The ability to enter one value for all the periods budget. (something like a scheduled transfer for a budget).

The budget report is a bit lacking too imho.

It would be very useful to view the difference in budgeted money and actual money spend.
(so the budget report should display three instead of two columns: Bgt, Act and Diff)

Also, it would be nice to see totals for the columns and the rows, And a grand total. (Amount of money budgeted, the actual balance, and the difference)

For the average user doing his personal finances and budgeting these features would be really useful.

I hope this helps,

krishan kharagjitsing
