Closing accounts.

Sorry I didn't explain better.

The reason I suggested you create a parent account (in each fundamental 
accounting category where you have accounts you want to hide) is to make 
it easy to find them later. Nothing is more annoying than having hidden 
something, not knowing where to find it. In general there could be a 
great many such "dead" accounts. Imagine a small business that had 
accounts with customers and vendors. Over time the number of "closed" or 
"inactive" accounts could become enormous. Rather than having these in 
an unstructured heap*, you'd want to keep like sorts of "dead" accounts 
together to make finding easier should you need to investigate one or 
reactivate one.

* "end user" sense of the term -- not "heap" as the term is used by 
computer science folks as that IS a structure..
