Installation problem with GnuCash-2.2.7 - no windows disk

Installation problem with GnuCash-2.2.7 (r17597M built 2008-09-26)

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium (my first mistake but let's leave that
out of it).  I'm the admin and the only user. I disabled my firewall, shut
down my antivirus program, closed everything possible and can't get it to
properly install.

I downloaded gnucash-2.2.7-setup.exe<http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gnucash/gnucash-2.2.7-setup.exe?modtime=1222391681&big_mirror=1>
   from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=192  and began
the installation.

Near the end of the installation I got an error that there was no windows
disk. I got this: cancel - try again - continue and tried again many times.
Then, I clicked to continue to get past that and it showed the installation
as finished.

I attached a screenshot of my 4th attempt to correctly install. The DOS
window path shows: C:\Program Files\gnucash\bin\guile.exe

After skipping the file that wouldn't run during setup and trying to start
up the program, these three windows appear on my vista screen:

1. GnuCash tip of the day dialog box comes up in a DOS box.

2. a dialog box titled "Windows - No disk" comes up with the following:

Exception processing message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x75FF92A0  0x0000004
0x75FF92A0 0x75FF92A0

cancel - try again - continue

3. The actual GnuCash program window shows up first as "loading" and then as
"not responding".

I tried canceling, trying again and continuing several times until vista
comes up with the option to close the program or wait for the program to
respond.
I click to close and I see this: gnucash-bin.exe is not responding.

Any suggestions on how to get it to run properly?
