Errors when starting GnuCash on Mac OS X

So you know how to use vi? Hey, lucky you!  We're probably a dying breed.

The "~" just means your home directory, like /Users/Todd or whatever. And
the file should be ~/.profile rather than ~./profile -- does that help?
