How to save account report format

I want to create account reports for a given account for a given period.
 With the transaction register tab for that account open on the screen I
can select Reports>Account Report.  A new tab is then opened which show
all the transactions posted to that account for the selected period.

Then, by opening the options window, I select what information about
those transactions I want to be displayed, the title of the report and
the name of the report.  Such reports can then be printed and/or saved.

I want however to save the selected options as a template under the
report name so that next time I want to make an account report I do not
have to select the options all over again.  How do I save such a
template and where are they stored?
