GC Won't Load

Thank you... I removed GC 2.2.7 and have downloaded GC Portable 2.2.8 as 
well as GC 2.2.9 for my desktop and can't decide which to use - what is 
the difference between the two other than the fact that Portable keeps 
all files in the same folder?
