Data files in upgrade, 2.0.3 -> 2.2.9 [SOLVED]

Posted this to gnucash-devel but for the record:

Seemed to be the same issue discussed here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=493734#c16

Apparently related to scheduled transactions.

Solution:

open the 2.0.3 file (in 2.2.9)
delete all scheduled transactions
save

Saved file then can be opened in 2.2.9. Recreate the scheduled transactions.
