producing a transaction report

I'm using gnucash 2.4.7 on windows7 and need to create a transaction report. 
I can find the transaction report and can set dates and the accounts I want
by going to 'options', but can't save them, like you can for the other
reports (the same occurs when using gnucash with linux).

Some help would be much appreciated.
