Oops. I 4got:
a. After u've made the report and 'Add Report' to ur 'Custom Reports', u can rerun as often as u want. I used 'End of acctg period'.
b. Or click on 'Options' icon, change the name in 'General'. And make a new one 4 say different stocks.
c. U can always 'fix' reports in 'Custom' by following b. above.

PS: I used GnuCash 2.4.5. ... Earlier versions were 'weird'. ... Also I never made $$ with AAPL but I coulda, woulda shoulda! lol

THE MAIN thing with creating rpts is change the name on the 'Options-General' screen. So u can 'Add Report' to the 'Custom Report' menu. Select specific stocks with the "Ctrl' key on the Accounts screen. I will add this 'test' report 2 my GnuCash, if needed.
