Date Widget Not Working (was: Gnucash menubar)

Welcome to the forum, and I hope you find Gnucash as useful as I have!

The problem you are reporting sounds very much like a bug in Gnucash from some time back (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=545722) which had a long history, but it was resolved in 2.2.7. What version of Gnucash did you install?

P.S.: It is not helpful for you to take another person's problem and tack your problem onto it. It's referred to as "hijacking a thread." By putting your problem on this one, your problem gets hidden, and the other person's problem gets forgotten.
