The theme that was changed was a gtk theme. This changes the whay the widgets 
are displayed (things like menu color, the look of menu's, buttons, scrollbars 
and such). This theme was changed because the default theme could result in a 
crash in some circumstances.

This has nothing to do with the reports not displaying on Windows.

@Dave: I would like to discover what did fix the error though, because you are 
not the only one complaining about this [1].

So can you describe what is different on your system now compared to before 
you restored the system backup ?

Like, which programs are no longer there ? Are there settings that changed 
(different firewall or anti-virus software or things like that) ? Small tools 
that got uninstalled,...

Preferably add you information to the bugreport in [1]. Like that we can 
gather all information in one spot.
