"Volume" here means a device that contains a hierarchy of folders and files. It can be a disk inside your computer, or one connected to it by a cable, or over the network, or a USB thumb. It can also be a special kind of file called a disk image, and that seems to be what it is here. 

Try making a new folder in your Documents folder and dragging the Quicken files into it, then try importing from there. Make sure that you have read permission on the copied files.
