How to eliminate quote info for old fund

Folks,

I have a fund that I once had shares, the shares were transfer to another fund. 
The fund was subsequently closed. When I ask for update of stock prices 
(Tools->Price Editor->Get Quotes) it hangs on the fund with a message dialog 
"Unable to retrieve quotes for these items: Fund name (on a line of its own) 
Continue using only good quotes"

How can I eliminate this message?

I have tried setting the entry to hidden and setting the place holder flag, in 
an attempt to archive it. It does not appear, unless I enable show hidden 
accounts. The message still appears.
