Robert--

As I understand, the Chart of Accounts (CoA) lists the latest value of your accounts. As such, it will not show you the balances for a particular period, I don't believe. You might want to double check the column options (the drop down on the top right corner of the CoA window); there may be an option there that meets your needs. I don't think there is, however.

You might try looking at the Reports; the Income Statement will summarize Income and Expense accounts for whatever time period you choose.
