No menu when opening gnucash

Thanks,
Option 1 was the right one. The test file I had been using was deleted.
I also found out that I have been tricked by the uniqueness of the Unity interface. When I resized the window I realised that all the menu commands are hidden until you move the cursor to the top of the page.
As soon as I did that, all the icons reappeared on the toolbar. All is OK now.

Two options:
1) use File -> Open to open your data file. GnuCash might have gotten
into a state where it has no default file.

2) use View -> New Accounts Page to create a new Chart of Accounts page.
It might have disappeared if you had multiple windows and closed them in a
"bad" order and made your CoA page disappear.
