memo not imported from QIF file

It appears to me that Gnucash is not importing memo fields from QIF files. 

Specifically, here's the QIF file I'm testing with:

MAnnual Percentage Yield Earned: 0.11% For the Period from 10/01 through 10/31.

After importing this file into Gnucash, I see a transaction with DIVIDEND CREDIT in the "Description" field. Clicking the "Split" button reveals a transaction with two blank lines beneath the description; the given memo ("Annual Percentage Yield...") does not appear anywhere in the transaction. I would have expected to see it in the description line associated with the split attached to the current account. 

Is this a bug?
