GnuCash Advanced Portfolio Report

Richard--

For what it's worth, your original message was rather misleading (as suggested by another list reader). You stated that the report "crash[ed] when you enter[ed] a sell transaction." Your answer (changing the price options) suggests that the report was still functional--it just wasn't giving you useful data. That's a very different problem. 

It would have been better if you had stated specifically that the Basis entry on the report was not accurate once you entered a sell transaction (if that is what actually happened).

Regardless, I am glad the report is working for you now. Now, if it would work for me, I'd be happier.

I found my answer in the mail listing. This is a great way to get answers!
When I Changed my options setting from Average to FIFO, it WORK! The
Advanced Portfolio has been working ever since. Praise the Lord!
