One bite of the apple at a time on the toolbar?

For whatever it's worth, I do *not* get that behaviour on my mac version 
(Gnucash 2.4.11 on OS/X 10.8.2).  It would drive me nuts if it did, 
since almost every transaction I enter has splits.
