Moving Data to New PC

I think you just copy the GC XML file to your new PC's data repository. (I use SQL, so I reference my SQL data. I've mirrored it so don't think about worry about migration. In my case, I would freeze my data and copy it over to my new MySQL server, if I ever move my data, which I have not yet had to since my servers have been quite reliable.)

I just responded as your message came in, so I'm sure someone will respond with something more along the lines you're looking for, though I read your message about doing "stand-alone" stuff. (I use GC because it works;  however, I use SQL to learn more about DBA.)
