transactions not visible in account register but in transaction reports

Suddenly today I am unable to see two transactions I entered today in a bank account (entered manually, not from bank). If I look at the general ledger and the transaction report for the account, I see the two I entered and the correct grand total for the account. one is a scheduled transaction & one a check.  Windows XP- gnucash 2.6.3.  Any suggestions?
