Version 2.6 and Automatic Stock Pricing

Hi Dr. Ray,

I seem to recall you're running windows ???

1. Install ActivePerl 5.16.3 from
http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads
2. REBOOT - never works for me unless I reboot after the Perl installation
!!!!!
3. Run the GnuCash menu item - Install Online Price Retrieval
4.  Once you have everything installed ok use Tools >> Price Editor to
setup currencies you want to automatically retrieve exchange rates for -
that's all I use it for personally.  I guess if you are interested in
securities you use the Tools >> Security Editor for those :-)

For Windows users, this will likely entail upgrading to ActivePerl 5.16.3
or later. When upgrading ActivePerl, it is recommended to uninstall the old
version and delete its directory before installing the new version.
Otherwise the script "Install Online Price Retrieval" may produce errors.
For more details, search the wiki for "quote". If you must, for some
reason, use the older version of F::Q (1.17), you have to patch it. There
are 2 different ways:
