Closing Out 2013

I do not see anything in the users guide on how to “Close out the year”. In my old system, opening the application after the last day of the year the application would ask you if you want to close out the year.

I see in the Account Preference there is a Start and End date but I cannot find anything else telling  me how to close the books so that I can then create a PDF of things like the General Ledger, etc to send to my accountant.

Suggestions??
