The python stuff isn't static :(
Look in the -dev group. I think this was talked about in March or April
2014. If you look at the thread
Subject: Python bindings: Account.getName() raises TypeError
you'll get an idea of who to talk to.
Userland us unlikely to provide the answer you want.
