That makes sense, I just used
./configure --prefix=/path/to/install/gnucash/to
--enable-compile-warnings --with-html-engine=webkit
possibly the one in GetDeb did enable python.

Oops, I got bogged down looking at the trace and missed the proverbial
wood for the trees.  Sorry.

All makes sense to me know, thanks.

One important point is that if someone manages to get 2.6.3 backported
or SRU'd on Ubuntu 14.04, or whatever the correct term is, that the
build must not enable python.
