Split transactions

On this list it is necessary to use Reply All when replying, otherwise
your post goes only to the last sender (me in this case).  Forwarding
to the list for information.  See below for comments.

If you mean that the complete transaction disappears then possibly you
have forgotten to include a split that references the account that you
are currently on.  Have a look in one of the other accounts that you
referenced (Expenses:Groceries or whatever) and you will probably see
it there.  When entering split transactions I start (before splitting)
by entering the total amount in the top line, then clicking split,
that automatically enters that amount against the current account.
Also it is a good idea, before hitting Enter, to tab off the last line
you have entered, then GC will check that the amounts balance and show
you the unbalanced amount if there is any.
