Hi Steve,

Well done compiling 2.6.13, but we could have saved you a little time.

Just for others info, from memory, some-one recently said on this list (I
cannot find now who by searching the archives),
that they installed 2.6.13 on Mint from
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gnucash/.

I just tested this by installing to Ubuntu 16.04.1 and it seems to work fine.
I downloaded from the above link
   gnucash_2.6.13-1_amd64.deb
   gnucash-common_2.6.13-1_all.deb
copied from ~/Downloads to new directory, then
  sudo dpkg -i *.deb

It complained about some missing dependencies: libaqbanking35 etc.
I opened Ubuntu Software Centre from the Dash, which said there was a problem
and offered to repair it, which I accepted.
After 30 seconds or so, all the dependencies had been installed.

I'll update http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Ubuntu.

Regards, Chris Good
