difficulty managing quantity of incoming mail

Actually Mailman also supports "topics", but the List owner needs to define 
the topics and the posters need to include the "proper" keywords in the 
"Subject:" header OR include a "Keywords:" header.  By default, this is turned 
off and Mailman list owners rarely turn it on and posters almost never include 
a "Keywords:" header or put keywords in the "Subject:" header.  A "feature" 
that is mostly not used.
