Why would you want to have GnuCash make a guess about what you really want and to sometimes guess wrong?

Darn it, just been reconciling again, and it still does it, even after
upgrading to the latest version :(

I hate this, because instead of being able to change the amount by just
typing the sum, I have to mess around changing BOTH sides of the split, for
no good reason that I can see.

Hmmm ... any suggestions?
