Newbie - Check Formatting

Dave

I use the Quicken Top check writing template. Trust me....keep this as simple as possible. Have Deluxe print your laser checks....they can put your logo and signature on the check for you. The gnu template for Quicken Top mount full page will do the rest. Keep the check writing template simple and stock and let your check printer do the rest. That way updates to the software won't impact your layout. On a side note....preprinted signatures are risky. Signature plates are very reasonable and safer if you have more than you want to hand sign....in fact you can sign, fold and seal if you print a lot of checks. Again, you can buy refurbished equipment reasonably. I sign about 70 checks a month and I choose to touch and sign each one as my internal control. Good luck, Timothy
